Tensile Test

The tensile test is one of the most fundamental experimental investigations in destructive materials testing. It is described in numerous standards and regulations for all technically used materials. To carry out a tensile test just a universal testing machine with sufficient test force is used. Tensile testing machines from FORM+TEST are available with electromechanical or hydraulic drive and can be designed for testing forces of up to 10,000.00 kN.

The central aspect is the sample holders, which must be adapted to the sample geometry and the material itself. The sample holders must ensure a secure hold of the sample without inducing the onset of failure during the test.
