As the flow rate of the hydraulic units increases, so does the need for cooling water. For environmental and cost reasons, a high watere demand cannot be covered with fresh water.
If there is no closed cooling circuit available at customer site, all hydraulic units from FORM+TEST can be equipped with independent cooling systems. These can include, for example, one of the following technologies
Oil/air cooler
The simplest solution in which the heat is dissipated by having the oil flow directly through an air cooler. The fan can also be installed outside at low temperatures
Heat-exchanger
For larger cooling capacities, heat exchangers with closed loop cooling (e.g. with water-glycol) are used which can be scaled accordingly to the cooling power demand. It can be used at low and high outside temperatures of over 30°C
Chiller units
At the highest outside temperatures, cooling units with active
compressors must be used.
