Calibration of Load Cells
BROSA AG is manufacturer of high-quality sensors for force measurement. The BROSA force measuring elements are constructed and manufactured acc. to different, partially patented, configuration concepts - depending on application-specific requirements. High measurement accuracies are guaranteed in the long term due to the consideration of the exact installation situation from the construction up to the calibration of the sensors.
For checking these accuracies in the higher load range BROSA AG again uses a testing plant developed and manufactured by Form + Test. This special purpose machine is used for continuous calibrations in compressive force direction up to 12 MN (1200 t) and achieves highest accuracies (< 0.25%). The 4-columns loading frame is very torsion-resistant and is equipped with a low-friction hydraulic test cylinder. Force measurement is effected by specially applied columns. A sound insulated hydraulic aggregate with air cooler and demand-oriented supply enables an energy-efficient and low-noise operation.
The new generation of high-resolution digital controllers Digimaxx C30 is used for controlling the measuring and control processes. The tests are controlled via the user interface of the test software “PROTEUS MT” which contains an individual module. Thus the test results can be transferred in the form of a calibration protocol directly to the customer.
